In honor of UN Day United Nations Association of Rochester is proud to host
two screenings of “Utica: the Last Refuge”
on Monday, October 24 at the Little Theatre.
The documentary explores refugee resettlement in Utica, New York
following a refugee family from Sudan as they transition to a thriving American refugee community.
The film highlights agencies that help in resettlement
and the positive impact on Utica’s economy.
There will be screenings at 3 and 6pm
with a live panel discussion following the evening show at 8pm.
The filmmaker, Rochester refugees and local refugee agencies/advocates will be on the panel.
Refugee resettlement agencies will be on hand from 3pm-9pm to share information.
