What’s Happening in Myanmar?
In February 2021 the Military staged a violent and bloody coup. Combined with the covid-19 pandemic, the situation has become increasingly dire, and attracted international attention due to the human rights violations exacted by the military upon its citizens.
What’s Happening with the Refugees?
Currently Refugees are hiding on the border of India, they are not being allowed by the Indian Government to be refugees, but they are allowing them to secretly stay in the country’s border.
The people of the Chin Region have not been able to grow rice due to these disturbances, They have missed their growing season, which is in October, meaning they will go at least a year without any rice

Our Connections with the refugees
We are working with a former UNAR intern from the Chin region who still has family and connections in the region. Health and Hope UK is directly working with these refugees in the Chin Region, who we have contacts with through rotary international, coming back to UNAR.
